Biography Overview
Lindsy Lopez is a Partner and General Counsel at Thomas Law Offices and leads the firm’s Des Moines, Iowa office. She relocated to Iowa to be closer to her family and continues to play a key leadership role within the firm. She earned a double major in Political Science and International Studies, along with a minor in music, from Iowa State University, and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2009. During law school, she served as Senior Managing Editor of the Iowa Law Review and clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota, graduating with honors and receiving the Boyd Service Award.
She began her legal career in Minneapolis, focusing on civil litigation involving catastrophic losses, product liability, and complex insurance disputes. In 2013, she joined Thomas Law Offices in Kentucky, where she practiced for nearly a decade before returning to Iowa in 2022. Her current practice focuses on civil litigation and personal injury matters.
She is an active member of the American Association for Justice and the Iowa Association for Justice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons together.
