He was raised in a rural community in Southeast Minnesota, where he developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for teamwork through outdoor activities and athletics.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson University and his Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in 2000. After relocating to North Seattle with his wife, Carolyn, he established his first law office in Bellevue. In 2005, he partnered with Jim Hill to form Russell & Hill, expanding the firm’s presence to Everett and Spokane.
He works closely with clients throughout the region, focusing on delivering personalized legal representation and strong advocacy. His approach emphasizes understanding each client’s needs and guiding them through the legal process with clarity and confidence.
He is actively involved in his community, coaching youth sports, mentoring students in mock trial programs, and contributing to local education initiatives. He also serves on a nonprofit board supporting individuals in need.
