Biography Overview
Jesse Tanksley is a partner whose legal career was shaped by early aspirations of becoming an FBI agent and further influenced by hands-on experience at a law firm during law school. A native of Hutchinson, he graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2009. While in law school, he served as a note and comment editor for the University of Kansas Law Review and interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City, Kansas.
After passing the bar, Jesse began his career as a research attorney for the Kansas Court of Appeals, where he worked on a wide range of criminal and civil appellate matters. He later practiced at Stinson Leonard Street LLP in Wichita, representing large corporations in business and employment litigation.
He joined Mann Wyatt & Tanksley in 2015 and now focuses his practice on negligence and product liability cases. Jesse is licensed in Kansas state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is an active member of several professional organizations and values time with his wife and four children.
