Lee Coleman is a seasoned personal injury attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. As the Managing Partner and majority owner of Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, he has played a pivotal role in building the firm into a respected regional practice since co-founding it in 1985 with J. Marshall Hughes. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded to include over 30 attorneys and multiple offices across Kentucky and Tennessee, along with an affiliated presence in New Mexico.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 1981 and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky in 1978. He began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Warren County Attorney’s Office, where he tried approximately 50 jury trials, gaining extensive courtroom experience.
After transitioning to private practice, he further developed his skills handling bankruptcy cases and advocating for hardworking individuals facing financial hardship. His commitment to helping clients in difficult situations shaped his approach to personal injury law.
He takes pride in continuing his legacy alongside his sons, who also practice personal injury law, and remains dedicated to ensuring every client’s story is heard.
