Biography Overview
Joshua Daniel Hicks is a founding partner and accomplished trial attorney with extensive experience in personal injury and civil litigation. Raised in Fleming County, Kentucky, he grew up on a family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic by helping with agricultural work. His parents supported his early development, with his father working in construction and his mother employed at a local Honda facility.
At Fleming County High School, he excelled as an offensive and defensive lineman before attending Georgetown College, where he pursued both academics and athletics. After three semesters, he entered the construction industry, working alongside his father, and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he was trained as a radio operator and cryptographic custodian and deployed with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS Ponce and USS Trenton. He married his wife, Bethany, during this time.
Following an honorable discharge, he became a certified police officer and served five years with the Maysville Police Department as a patrol officer, Emergency Response Team member, and training officer. He earned his degree from Morehead State University with honors and later graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he competed on national trial teams.
He has litigated cases throughout the state and serves as a mediator for the Fayette District Court.
