René Turner Sample is an owner and trial attorney widely recognized as one of Central California’s most accomplished and experienced female trial lawyers. A Fresno native, she earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from California State University, Fresno, in 1983 and graduated with distinction from San Joaquin College of Law in 1988. Throughout her distinguished career, she has built a reputation for exceptional courtroom skill, integrity, and dedication to injured clients.
She was the first female member of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and remains the chapter’s only female member specializing in plaintiff personal injury law. Martindale-Hubbell has recognized her as one of California’s Preeminent Women Lawyers. She has served as president of the Central California Trial Lawyers’ Association and continues to contribute as an active board member of the Consumer Attorneys of California.
René has tried more than fifty jury cases to verdict and achieved multiple personal injury verdicts exceeding one million dollars. Before focusing exclusively on representing injured individuals and families, she spent twelve years defending insurance companies and tried over twenty cases.
