Biography Overview
R. Leonard (“Len”) Davis III joined the firm in 1986 and served for decades as head of both the Estate Planning and Business Practice Groups before transitioning to Of Counsel status in 2024. Len continues to provide trusted counsel to clients in the areas of estate planning, including wills and a wide range of trusts, charitable and gift planning, elder law, and estate and trust administration. He also advises individuals and businesses on corporate formation, business transactions, and real estate matters. Widely regarded as a leader in his field, Len was one of the early pioneers of living trust estate planning in Bucks County.
Before joining the firm, Len served as a Senior Associate in the Legal Department of Mellon Bank (1983–1986), where he drafted commercial and consumer loan documents for use across Pennsylvania. He began his career with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP (1980–1983), practicing in the firm’s banking, bankruptcy, and corporate departments.
Len earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 1980, where he was an Associate Editor of the Villanova Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Eastern College in 1977.An active member of his community, Len has served on the Boards of Elders for two local churches, as well as on the boards of Re:vivals, Faith Christian Academy, and the Christian Legal Society. He and his wife reside in Bedminster, where they enjoy time with their five children and nine grandchildren.
