W. Andrew Bowen, founding partner of Bowen Painter Trial Lawyers, is a Savannah native and an accomplished attorney with decades of experience in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He represents individuals and families across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida who have suffered serious harm due to negligence or misconduct.
A graduate of Washington and Lee University and Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, Andrew began his career representing defendants in personal injury and medical negligence cases, as well as working with a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. Since 2001, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to advocating for injury victims, achieving numerous successful verdicts and settlements in cases involving medical malpractice, trucking accidents, and wrongful death.
Andrew is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court, and multiple federal courts, including the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He serves as Vice-Chairman of the ABA’s Automobile Law Committee, a member of the Plaintiffs’ Policy Task Force, and past president of the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association.
Active in his community, Andrew serves on the Board of Selectmen for the Historic Midway Church and the Administrative Board of Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
