Biography Overview
When he was a kid, Alex Uriarte would accompany his father to work as an attorney in courthouses, which sparked his interest in law. He loved learning about the government and how it functioned. Before he knew it, Alex enrolled at FIU to pursue a bachelor of science in political science. He next attended Barry University to study to be a juris doctor
Alex spent his summers as a law clerk for a non-profit organization that helped disadvantaged people and citizens’ civil representation. Many of these clients were disabled, handicapped, and even had their food stamp benefits revoked from them. They required legal counsel on filing and obtaining Medicare and Medicaid, as well as assistance with civil divorces, bankruptcy proceedings, and foreclosure defense.
